The pillows will be donated to local hospitals to then be given to patients to aid in healing by providing comfort after mastectomy or chest surgery. Along with social games, the club also hosts other games and welcomes all generations of bridge enthusiasts to get together. The nonprofit social club was founded in 1970 to foster interest in the game of bridge. “The Game Room” will be the home of the Bridge Club of North County and is slated to have a number of game tables for a variety of games, including Mah Jongg and other games of interest to older adults. The Bridge Club of North County donated $500,000 to the San Diego Oasis for a “Game Room” at the nonprofit Oasis’ new Rancho Bernardo center which is expected to open later this summer.
